The Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA) today unveils the updated five-year calendar that compresses the region's premier racing into a four-month powerhouse season — and launches a major new championship trophy to crown its best.

The condensed circuit gives professional and high-level Corinthian teams a clear runway for full campaigns, while preserving the freedom for sailors to chart their own Caribbean adventure.

"This calendar delivers clarity and momentum for our sport," said Bastien Poutier, President of the CSA. "Concentrating our marquee events into a four-month window creates a true circuit for serious campaigners — without losing the adventurous spirit that defines Caribbean racing."

A sharper racing season

The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta anchors the season as the Caribbean's biggest event. The Antigua Racing Cup moves to earlier dates, and the St. Thomas International Regatta (STIR) returns April 8-11 with a refreshed format — folding in the Three Sheets Distance Race & Rally and a new wing foiling class alongside CSA and one-design fleets.

A new trophy, a grand finale

The CSA has established a prestigious new championship recognizing the top overall performance across the region's major regattas:

  • RORC Nelson Series
  • RORC Caribbean 600
  • St. Maarten Heineken Regatta
  • Antigua Racing Cup
  • BVI Spring Regatta

Champions of the CSA Majors Trophy will be crowned at the BVI Spring Regatta, delivering a high-stakes finale to the core season. The new trophy joins the Budget Marine Windies Multihull Trophy and the Travellers Trophy in honoring boats that compete — and win — across the circuit.

Built to maximize participation, eliminate scheduling conflicts, and cement the Caribbean as a world-class racing destination, the full five-year calendar is available here.
