Sail Canada announces that the 2026 Sail Central Regional Championships will be held July 10-12, 2026, at Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) in Toronto, Ontario. A Sail Canada development clinic will take place on July 10.

The event will be hosted during ABYC's Seahorse Regatta.

Competitors from Ontario and Quebec will compete in the U15 Optimist class and U21 for the 29er, Club 420, ILCA 4, and ILCA 6 classes. Athletes from across Canada are also invited to participate.

The Notice of Race and registration details for the Sail Canada 2026 Sail Central Championships will be available in the coming weeks.

The Sail Canada Sail Central Championships are part of a national series of seven Sail Canada events taking place this summer. These competitions provide opportunities for sailors to train and compete at a high level within their region, while also supporting talent identification for regional and provincial teams. The events further serve as development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, as well as training opportunities for officials and volunteers.

Helly Hansen is the official prize sponsor for the 2026 Sail Canada Championships.

Sail Canada Championships are funded in part by the Government of Canada.
