SailGP returns to New Zealand's unofficial home of sailing and this time, it's bigger and louder than ever.

After raising the bar with the first edition of the Auckland event, the Wynyard Point Race Stadium is set to expand again in 2026. The record-setting grandstand that reshaped Auckland's skyline will grow by 30%, bringing even more noise and energy to one of the most intense racecourses on the calendar.

For the Switzerland SailGP Team, Auckland presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Known for punchy breeze and tight, tactical racing, the venue promises another weekend of high-speed action.

Team CEO Boet Brinkgreve looks ahead to the weekend with confidence:

"We're excited to be back on the racecourse in top form; both the team and the boat are fully prepared. Following the incident in Perth, we placed a strong emphasis on mental preparation and team cohesion. We head into Auckland focused, united, and ready to perform. Conditions here can be as demanding as Perth, but whatever comes our way, we're prepared to fight at the front of the fleet."

Race Schedule:

  • Saturday, 14th February 2026: 16:00-17:30 NZDT
  • Sunday, 15th February 2026: 16:00-17:30 NZDT

Times are approximate and subject to change.

Racing takes place in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning CET (from 04:00am), but Swiss fans won't miss a moment.

Full race replays will be available throughout the weekend on Blue Sport and SailGP's YouTube channel.
