The International Musto Skiff Class Association (MSCA) has today launched its 2025 Class Survey, inviting sailors worldwide to share their views and help guide the future of the class.

The annual survey seeks feedback from Musto Skiff owners, current and life members, as well as sailors interested in the class. Questions cover events, activities, and class development over the past year, alongside ideas for growth in 2026 and beyond.

This year's survey includes:

  • A dedicated section for the International Class AGM, allowing members to provide feedback on events, vote on class matters, and elect committee representatives for the 2026 season.
  • A class member vote on the integration of the Small Mainsail X into future class events.
  • Tailored questions for sailors outside the class, focusing on how to attract new participants and promote demo opportunities.

Share your views to grow the Mainsail X Fleet

After its introduction in 2024, the 'Small Mainsail X' is already gaining momentum, attracting more lighter-weighted sailors, and extending the time in the boat for those who prefer a less powerful rig. However, the class association is keen to see the numbers grow further.

The committee has been proactively engaging with class representatives in each country to explore ways to grow the Mainsail X fleet and increase event participation, with the aim of keeping the class inclusive and fun for all.

In preparation for the survey, the committee has published a status update on the small mainsail with a preview of this year's voting questions. This includes proposed options to integrate the Mainsail X at class organised events and if the class wants to have a separate small mainsail fleet going forward. This class update can be viewed here.

How to participate in the MSCA 2025 Class Survey

The survey was launched on Tuesday 16th December 2025 and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The survey includes two parts - a main survey for all to participate in, and a separate survey with an extra section for class members only that acts as the 2025 International AGM.

Both parts of the survey can be accessed on the class website here.

Survey submissions will be accepted up to 12pm (GMT) on Monday 26th January 2026. After this date, a report with key highlights will be published on the Musto Skiff class website.

About the MSCA Class Survey

Commissioned by the International Committee with input from Ovington Boats, this year marks the 22nd MSCA Clas survey. Each year, the surveys are hosted and managed with the digital platform, QuestionPro. All data is securely managed and GDPR-compliant through the QuestionPro servers.

Survey results will only be published in aggregate. Previous class survey reports are available at mustoskiff.com/other/msca-class-survey
