Ullswater Yacht Club (UYC) is gearing up for another thrilling season of open sailing in 2026, offering competitive racing across all classes on one of England's most scenic lakes.

Magic Marine Daffodil Regatta – 25 & 26 April
Spring sailing returns with two days of exciting racing on Windward/Leeward and Conventional Courses, open to a wide range of classes. Ashore, enjoy live music from Fiona Music in the Lakes, hearty breakfasts, and the Shap Fish & Chip Van.

64th Lord Birkett Memorial Trophy – 4 & 5 July
One of the highlights of the UYC calendar, the Birkett sees over 200 boats racing the full length of Ullswater in two all-class handicap races.
The festival atmosphere ashore includes live music and a bar in the marquee, plus food from Shappy Wheels Chip Van, Amigo’s Mexican Takeaway, and the UYC Tea Room. Camping is available for tents and motorhomes. Sponsored by Magic Marine.

Northern Club Championships – 3 & 4 October
This is a new event for the UYC and Northern sailing calendar and will be single course, multi-start, handicap event for all sailors from clubs in the North of England and Scotland. With no limits on a team entry, the top 4 sailors from each club will qualify for the Northern Team Championship. Prizes will go to the top teams and also individual class prizes, Camping is available for tents and motorhomes. Sponsored by Magic Marine. More information will be made available soon.
