18-25 October 2025
The final day of the Opening Series at the iQFOiL Youth & Junior European Championships brought a dramatic close to the fleet racing in Sardinia, with the Mistral delivering strong winds from the early morning.
The powerful wind started easing in the late afternoon, so that PRO Ewa Jodlowska could only call on the water the U17 and U19 Men's Gold Fleets, who completed two races each before the sunset. As a result, rankings in the Women's categories remain unchanged from the previous day.
These are the top 10 athletes in each category who will advance to the Medal Series tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Medal Series unfolds in three stages: Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, and Grand Final.
The athletes ranked from seventh to tenth at the end of the Opening Series will compete in the Quarter-Final. Only the winner of this race advances to the Semi-Final, joining the athletes ranked sixth, fifth, and fourth overall from the Opening Series.
The Grand Final includes the top three ranked athletes from the Opening Series along with the winner of the Semi-Final. Before the Grand Final begins, each competitor carries forward points based on their position: three points for first, two for second, one for third, and zero points for the Semi-Final winner. In the Grand Final race itself, the athlete who finishes first earns four points, while the others receive zero.
The stage is set for an electrifying finale starting at 10am tomorrow. With the Mistral expected to still blow, but less strongly, into the morning hours, conditions are likely to remain fast and challenging, a fitting backdrop to crown the 2025 iQFOiL Youth & Junior European Champions.
