In a move designed to maximise spectator engagement and broadcast coverage, the 10 sailing events will be staged consecutively.

The competition will kick off at the historic Belmont Shore in Long Beach, which also hosted sailing during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and will also host the Open Water Swimming and Coastal Beach Sprint Rowing as part of an aquatics hub for the Games.

Following the completion of the board events, the competition will move to the Port of Los Angeles for the boat events.

The LA28 Olympic Games will run from 14-30 July 2028, with sailing poised to be a highlight of the Games, demonstrating speed, skill, and strategy against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific coast.
