Working on an Annual Foiling Exhibition

Foiling took centre stage at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show — a fast-evolving technology that continues to gain global momentum and open new market frontiers.

Acknowledging this growth, the Italian Marine Industry Association (Confindustria Nautica) has tasked its Vice President, Fabio Planamente, with defining how to integrate the foiling sector more systematically into its annual calendar of events. Following initial discussions, the Association and The Foiling Organization have launched a joint initiative to create a dedicated annual event entirely focused on foiling.

The project aims to strengthen ties with shipyards, deepen understanding of industry needs, and drive the development of next-generation solutions for both power and sailing applications.

"The Foiling Organization has been working for over a decade to advance both the industrial and the sporting dimensions of foiling," said Luca Rizzotti, President of The Foiling Organization. "Our association brings together leading global players — including Italy's three main yacht builders — and we believe the future of foiling lies in establishing a dedicated Expo. With the support of the Italian Marine Industry Association, and the collaboration of regional and municipal institutions already alongside us for the World Foiling Congress and the Foiling Awards, we can turn this vision into a major opportunity for the global foiling industry."

At the 65th Genoa International Boat Show, The Foiling Organization presented a 200-square-metre exhibition developed with the show's organisers, offering the event's 124,000 visitors an in-depth look at the state of the art in foiling through boats, boards, models, components, videos, talks, and live appearances from top foiling talents.

Together with Waterfront Sailing Club Genova, Drylaps, Fliteboard, North Sails and North Actionsports Group, The Foiling Organization also delivered six days of on-water demonstrations, featuring both sailing and electric foiling craft.

The participation of The Foiling Organization in the 65th Genoa International Boat Show was made possible thanks to the institutional support of the Italian Marine Industry Association, commercial partners Ropner and Pindar by Manuport Logistics, technical partners Waterfront Sailing Club Genova, Drylaps and Henoto, and the exhibitors: Fliteboard, North Sails, North Actionsports Group, E1 Series, Persico Marine, Sangiorgio Marine, Bluegame, Skeeta Watersports and Birdyfish.
