Banshee Marine Audio, a brand of the Poly-Planar Group, announced today the launch of a new speaker designed specifically to enhance VHF radio performance - the Banshee VA1 Active VHF Extension Speaker.

Optimized for clarity, the Active VHF Extension Speaker is the loudest, clearest VHF speaker on the market. While most VHF radios have a 1-2 Watt speaker inside, the VA1 has a built in 10W power amplifier, significantly increasing the volume of a VHF radio. The VA1 uses a specialized Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chipset, which amplifies only the human voice range between 300Hz and 4000Hz - providing unparalleled clarity for those hard to hear communications.

Offering exceptional versatility, the novel industrial design of the VA1 Active VHF speaker allows for the same unit to be mounted in either a helm mount, overhead mount or flush mount configuration with what is contained in the same box. Its super shallow mounting depth makes flush mounting accessible to even the smallest spaces.

"We are constantly trying to move audio design forward into new directions," said Dan Soeters, Founder, Banshee Marine Audio. "The clarity and volume of a VHF radio is vital for safe boating operations, and we are bringing our considerable expertise to improving on what is often a neglected piece of equipment. We are excited to be offering the VA1 to boat builders and the boating public and we're confident that users will be impressed with its quality."

The Banshee Marine VA1 Active VHF Extension Speaker will be available for $119 in either white or black. For more information on Banshee Marine Audio or its full line of audio products, visit www.banshee.rocks or call directly, 973-995-8232. The VA1 will be on display at IBEX, October 1-3 in the Tampa Convention Center, booth 3-235.
