Victorians are dominating the top ten after day 1 at the 35th NSW Tasar State Championships.

Three races were sailed yesterday in a shifty and puffy nor'easter of up to twenty knots. All competitors had a great day with tight racing, and even a dead heat in one of the races.

Graham Baxendale and Darryl Bentley on 2484 lead from start to finish in race one, as did Gwen and Derek Warne on 2823 in race two.

Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway on 2871, current regatta leaders took race three. Alistair Murray and Darren Edgar are in second, Graham Baxendale and Darryl Bentley are in third, Jeremey and David Elmslie are in fourth and Heather MacFarlane and Chris Payne are in fifth.

Four out of the current top five, and six in the current top ten are Victorians.

There are potentially six races remaining in the series, with racing concluding on Sunday.
