High Tea in Style at Sail Port Stephens

by Event Media on 9 Mar 2010
Enjoy High Tea by the water at Pepper Anchorage - Sail Port Stephens Event Media
An afternoon especially for the girls during Sail Port Stephens has the potential to change the way that bags are packed for weekend's away – forever !

As tips and secrets are shared over cold champagne and delicate treats, those enjoying the High Tea in Style might find themselves rivalling their sea-going yachtie partners or husbands for being able to fit everything they need in one small bag – and still be able to look utterly glamorous !!

It's events like this one that are important for the social fabric of Sail Port Stephens and they're something that Event Manager Jody O'Brien is passionate about making a success, and having them feature as an on-going integral part of the regatta.

'It's increasingly evident that the more activities and social fun there is in everyone's reach at a sailing regatta, the more chance there is of making it an event everyone enjoys 'she said.

Whilst she'll be busy with the overall Off Water Event Management of Sail Port Stephens, she engages a group of key like minded partners in the design of social get togethers like the High Tea with Style.

'My husband is a yachtie and whilst I enjoy going to sailing regattas with him (the ones I don't have any event management responsibilities at !!! ) - I really don't want to sail every day – so to have fun stuff like a High Tea to go to with other girls in the same boat (pardon the pun !! ) – just makes it a well rounded holiday for both of us' she said

'He gets to sail and I get to hang out with a bunch of girlfriends and drink champagne – does it get any better than that ??? !!' she said.

And it simply makes sense to make use of beautiful surroundings, cold champagne and fabulous clothing to create an afternoon for women of all ages and sizes to see some great fashion and get exclusive access to some amazing styling and make up tips.

'The tips that ladies will get at this High Tea could change the way they pack for a weekend, a week or even a month away - the range of clothes that will be shown, and the styling tips you'll get mean that you can fit everything you need into a compact bag - something that continues to be a source of constant amusement in our house, particularly when I used to completely stuff full a large Slam barrell bag - just for a weekend away...' said Jody.

There is a team of fantastic women looking forward to presenting an afternoon that everyone is sure to get something out of.

Jade Sardon, of Styled by Jade, is making time in her busy schedule to spend the afternoon at Peppers Anchorage.

Jade has extensive experience in the fashion and cosmetic industry spanning over fifteen years, working with well known brands like Lisa Ho Designs, Chanel, Versace, Seduce, Lancôme across a range of projects like Mercedes Fashion week and the Rosemount Fashion Festival.

She dresses celebrities for events such as the Arias and the Logie Awards, and that's all part of the business – but her real passion is to transform people's lives in her work as a Personal Stylist and Image Consultant.

Jade's expertise spans across all ages and body shapes, whether you want a completely new image or just refine the one you already have.

'I think afternoons like this are such a lovely way for women to get together to share ideas, and I'm really looking forward to being part of the event, it's going to be gorgeous fun! ' she said.

The theme of the High Tea with Style at Peppers Anchorage during Sail Port Stephens will be the Ultimate Travel Wardrobe – and how to pack the minimum amount of clothes and make up for the maximum impact, with minimum effort - both day and night.

Jade will be teaming up with Intimo Clothing Consultant, Jacinta Godden and make-up artist and stylist Connie Giaquinto to present an interactive afternoon that is likely to change the way you pack your travel bag with clothes and makeup in the future – whether you're going away for one week or one month !

Tickets for the event are available online at www.sailportstephens.com.au

The first pop of the champagne cork will be heard at 2pm on Friday the 16th of April, with the Sail Port Stephens Yachties Bus operating to get ladies to and from the location.
