Sail pass tribute to honour His Majesty the King of Thailand

In celebration of His Majesty the King’s birthday, the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta sail pass is a proud tradition that unites sailors from thirty three nationalities. Joining hundreds of Thais were Australians, British, Americans, Russians, Japanese, Chinese and many others from around the world to salute His Majesty. The ceremony is a proud moment for all Thais.

One of the top events in the yachting world, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta is now in its 23rd year and welcomes 111 boats and 2,000 high spending participants to Phuket. This year, the closing day of the Regatta coincides with His Majesty the King’s birthday, 5th of December.

Competitors in this truly international yachting event come from all corners of the world – 33 nationalities are represented this year.

Sponsors of the 2009 Regatta include Kata Group Resorts Thailand, Chang Beer, Mont Clair, Mom Tri's Boathouse and The Moorings.
