Organisers of Marine13 International Conference and Exhibition are adding to the comprehensive three-stream, two-day program which has a total of 50 plenary, lecture and workshop sessions. Plenary highlights include the topics of ‘Engaging Boaters of Today and Tomorrow’ and ‘Accepting the Challenge – McConaghy’s Role in the Deepsea Challenge Project’.
Recreational boating stream sessions will include ‘Empowering Women in Boating – Who Really Makes the Decisions?’, ‘Selling for Success’ and ‘The Changing Face of Retail’.
Boating Industries Alliance Australia Chairman Darren Vaux said he was extremely pleased with the content for the plenary sessions and the three streams. 'The recreational boating stream content has been a specific focus of the state boating associations. We now have a program that is compelling for anyone serious about success in the marine industry'.
The marine safety stream includes sessions on risk management, marine safety communications, the global challenge of lifejacket wear and online boater education.
A recent meeting of the Australia New Zealand Safe Boating Education Group (ANZSBEG) provided final touches to the safety stream content. The consensus is that it is a world class program with a lineup up of international guest speakers. Howard Glenn, General Manager of the NSW Office of Boating Safety & Maritime Affairs said the safety program addressed a wide range of strategic and operational issues facing the marine safety sector.
Andrew Chapman, President of Marina Industry Association said the MIA members on the Marine13 Steering Committee are particularly pleased with the final marina content. 'There are many challenges facing the marina industries. The Marine13 program not only focuses in these issues but most importantly it provides ideas and solutions to address these matters'.
Topics in the marina stream include ‘How Much to Spend on Marina Maintenance’, Dealing with Marina Disasters’, ‘Digital Strategies’ and ‘Emerging Asian Marina Markets’.
Online registration is now open for Marine13 with an early bird registration incentive in place. Exhibition and sponsorship details are also highlighted on the website.
