The 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the Year Awards, held on Tuesday, 6 May at the Middle Harbour 16ft Skiff Club in Sydney, concluded with one of the industry's highest honours—the induction of two outstanding facilities into the Marina of the Year Awards Hall of Fame.

ONE degrees15 Marina Sentosa Cove Singapore was recognised for its ongoing excellence and leadership on the global stage. Having twice been named International Marina of the Year, ONE degrees15 becomes the first Asian marina to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, marking a significant milestone for the region.

Located just one degree and 15 minutes from the equator, ONE degrees15 is an iconic yachting destination in Asia. The marina offers 272 wet berths (including 32 superyacht berths) and 60 dry berths, and holds several prestigious accreditations, including 5 Gold Anchor Platinum, Superyacht Ready, and Clean Marina and Fish Friendly certifications.

James Roy CMM, Senior Marina Director, and Nick McLaughlin, General Manager, accepted the Hall of Fame Award on behalf of ONE degrees15 Marina.

"As the first Asian marina to receive this prestigious accolade, this milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the global marina industry", said Roy. "This recognition belongs to our dedicated team, members, and valued partners. Thank you for being part of our journey and helping shape ONE degrees15 Marina into the world-class waterfront destination it is today."

In addition to their Hall of Fame induction, ONE degrees15 received a Highly Commended in the Environmental Award category, reaffirming their leadership in sustainable marina operations. The marina signed the Marine Sustainability Pledge at its Singapore Yachting Festival last month and continues to lead by example, with initiatives such as solar panel installations on its Clubhouse roof, electric pump-out systems, safety workboats, and marine waste collectors helping protect the surrounding waters.

Sydney Harbour Boat Storage (SHBS) at White Bay 6 Marine Park was also inducted into the Hall of Fame was, following consecutive wins in the Dry Stack Storage Facility of the Year category. The facility was also named Boatyard of the Year - Under 20 Boats, further highlighting its operational excellence.

Under the leadership of Lorraine Yates CMP, General Manager White Bay 6 Marine Park, SHBS has grown into a state-of-the-art boating hub, offering a 145-boat dry stack, a 13-bay boatyard with a 63-tonne lift, dry sail hardstand storage and comprehensive on-site marine services. The facility is proudly Gold Anchor and Clean Marina accredited.

In accepting the awards, Yates said, "Peer recognition in our industry means the world to us. To be named a winner among such respected and talented operators across the region is a true honour. What makes White Bay 6 truly special is our positive site culture and our unwavering commitment to excellence. This award belongs to our dedicated, hardworking staff whose professionalism and passion make our operation what it is. Winning the Marina of the Year Award is a powerful validation of that dedication—and a reward we're incredibly proud of."

White Bay 6 Marine Park also celebrated the achievement of Ange Melville, Service Manager, who was a finalist in the inaugural Marina Industry Woman of the Year Award. Introduced this year, the award recognises the outstanding achievements, leadership, and contributions of women in a traditionally male-dominated sector. It aims to spotlight their impact and inspire more women to pursue and thrive in careers across the marina industry.

These Hall of Fame inductions highlight the exceptional standards upheld by both ONE degrees15 Marina and Sydney Harbour Boat Storage. Their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service excellence continues to raise the bar and shape the future of the global marina industry.
