Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) has begun their Term 3 Junior Sailing Program with a full day training session under the eye of the clubs coaches. What seemed like perfect conditions on the way out to the training, soon began to test the sailors as the wind picked up.

MHYC is currently running a Tackers Program for all levels, Learn to Sail Spinnaker and Trapeze Course and the Racing and Development Squads for 420s and Optimists.

To have up to 25 sailors on Sunday, with the current cold and unpredictable weather, is a great success.

'We are expecting a few to come back to the squads as the Optimists circuit of regattas slow down. We had a few off at Ice Breaker and a few more going to Woollahra’s Brass Monkey this weekend,' said Lachlan Pryor, Junior Sailing Administrator and Coach.

MHYC will be running their Winter regatta, the Sound Championships, on the 26 August. The Sound Championships is a one day event with 6 sprints races constituting the series. This regatta is for both Optimists and 420s and MHYC are looking forward to a large turn out.

The NOR will be available from Wednesday the 25 July on the Class websites as well at www.juniorsailing.com.au
