The Melges 15 European Cup at Fraglia Vela Riva, Lake Garda, Italy concluded with a 15 knot Ora wind and two races, bringing the series up to eight races over the three day event.

At the top of the leaderboard, the US team of Oliver Gray and Adler Johnston overhauled the British pairing of Simon Horsfield and Katie Horsfield, who had a six point lead after day 2, but a 13th and a 9th in this tight fleet, combined with their 17th in race 4, saw them overhaulled by the super-consistent team of Gray and Johnston, whose counting results were all in the top five, and discarded a sixth.

The podium was completed by William Borghesi and Diogo Machado Pinto, who just held off the fast-charging Swiss pair of Müller Emanuel and Ringli Andy, who had two 2nd place finishes on the final day, leaving them just a single point off the top three.

The Australian team of Keiran Searle and Declan Mcgranahan were just a point further back in fifth after a 3rd place in the final race.

Overall it has been a superb event, with an international fleet including competitors from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA. The class has a strong foothold in the USA and is the boat used in the Endeavour Trophy, the UK Champion of Champions event.
