The Wetwheels Foundation delivered a record-breaking year in 2025, welcoming over 11,000 disabled participants and their families on board for fully accessible powerboating experiences across the UK.

Between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2025, the Wetwheels fleet delivered 1,404 inclusive trips, giving 5,931 people (54%) their first-ever experience on the water. A total of 3,920 ambulant disabled participants and 1,826 wheelchair users took part in the charity's life-changing experiences.

"Every statistic represents a moment of freedom, confidence and connection on the water," commented Trevor Phillips, Chairman of the Wetwheels Foundation. "We're not just offering boat trips - we're opening up the sea to everyone, regardless of ability."

The charity's commitment is powered by its dedicated community of volunteers and trustees, who together contributed over 2,500 hours this year. Wetwheels' ongoing expansion was also recognised by HRH The Princess Royal during her visit to the English Riviera in October.

Looking ahead, Wetwheels is now focused on expanding its impact even further, with plans to establish two new regional hubs - in Wales and Northern Ireland. This will bring life-changing experiences to more communities still waiting for their chance to get afloat.

Each new boat represents thousands more smiles, stories and opportunities for barrier-free boating. To help launch these next chapters, the Foundation is calling on supporters, partners and donors to get involved - because together, we can ensure everyone, everywhere, has the chance to feel the freedom of the sea.
