Beneteau FIRST 60 - Joy at its grandest

by Beneteau Group 18 Jan 04:45 UTC

For nearly 50 years, every FIRST has been created with a singular ambition: to offer a place where the sailor's own heartbeat falls into the rhythm of the wind and the waves.

As the largest First ever built, the FIRST 60 is designed for sailors who seek those rare moments—those who value intensity, precision at the helm, and the satisfaction of fine-tuning every detail.

Crafted with them and for them, the FIRST 60 unites performance, elegance, and simplicity, made to let its crew savour joy, second after second, under way.

Naval Architect: Biscontini Yacht Design
Exterior & Interior Designer: Lorenzo Argento

Exterior Design

The first thing you notice when approaching the FIRST 60 is her sleek profile, perfectly balancing the artistry and engineering behind this sophisticated machine.

Everything has been pared back to the essentials, leaving only the elegant, timeless lines of Lorenzo Argento.

As you draw closer, the simple yet highly refined sailing systems reveal themselves—components that allow the owner to interact with the yacht seamlessly and with precision.

For those aboard who wish to enjoy nature and good company, the cockpit provides dedicated, comfortable spaces to fully savor the experience.

Interior Design

The interior of the FIRST 60 offers a spacious, refined layout, with every detail designed to enhance the pleasure of life at sea.

Below deck, a cosy dining area faces the owner's corner, complete with a generous navigation table and sofa. The full-beam galley, with its elongated worktop and integrated storage, ensures effortless efficiency under sail.

A standout feature is the owner's cabin, which boasts a large walk-around, forward-facing bed, abundant natural light, and calming views of the sea.

Timeless aesthetic

Crafted by world-renowned designers, she achieves a rare balance of elegance and practicality, while her dynamic silhouette results in a timeless, unmistakably First aesthetic

Advanced sail controls

Among its key innovations, the FIRST 60 introduces a captive mainsheet winch for effortless, precise sail control and adaptive helm ergonomics shaped around the sailor's natural posture. The walk-around Winch Island centralizes all running rigging for secure, seamless handling, while the Park Avenue boom simplifies mainsail hoisting and lowering. The deck's design balances speed with generous space, delivering a thrilling yet confident sailing experience.

Space with purpose

The FIRST 60 stands apart as the only yacht in her size range to offer distinctly designed, purpose-built cockpit zones for Relaxation, Dining, and Sailing. Each area is thoughtfully arranged to ensure comfort, safety, and seamless movement on board—allowing guests to unwind, share meals, or handle the boat with total ease. This clear separation of spaces elevates life on deck, creating a more intuitive and luxurious experience under way and at anchor.

A community of passionate sailors

The FIRST 60 is more than a yacht—it's an entry into a vibrant ecosystem of events, services, and a passionate owner community shaped by decades of First heritage. Owners receive personal guidance from the first configuration choices, expert support throughout construction, and Premium Service backed by 15 years of experience and over 200 yachts delivered.

It's not just a boat, but a long-term relationship built on trust and shared passion—one that brings joy at its grandest.
