The Italian Sea Group announces the redelivery of the Sailing Yacht Kaizen

by The Italian Sea Group 31 Jul 22:23 PDT

The Italian Sea Group is proud to announce the redelivery of S/Y Kaizen, a stunning 49-metre sailing yacht originally built in 2000 by the New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts.

S/Y Kaizen is the result of the vision of designer Glade Johnson, who oversaw both the exterior and interior design, in collaboration with renowned naval architects Paolo Scanu and Butch Dalrymple Smith. With her aluminum hull and superstructure, S/Y Kaizen elegantly balances sophistication and strength, delivering remarkable performance.

During her refit period at The Italian Sea Group's NCA Refit Business Unit, S/Y Kaizen experienced a major technical overhaul. Key activities included the unstopping and restepping of the mast as part of a full rigging upgrade, replacing the original steel rigging with carbon fiber mast to enhance performance and reduce overall weight. Both the mast and boom were fully repainted, restoring them to their original brilliance.

The redelivery of S/Y Kaizen once again highlights The Italian Sea Group's ability to successfully work on prestigious yachts, combining deep expertise in full-custom design with excellence in the refit and repair of superyachts, megayachts, and sailing yachts.

This integrated approach allows the Group to support its clients throughout every stage of a yacht's life, enhancing its legacy while ensuring continuous technological innovation and sustainability.
