Contest Yachts UK is set to showcase the celebrated Contest 55CS at this year's Southampton International Boat Show, running from 19-28 September.

Visitors will find this exceptional 17-metre luxury performance cruiser on marina berth M740, where it will be available for exclusive viewings throughout the 10-day event.

Designed by renowned naval architects judel/vrolijk & co and built to the world-class standards for which Dutch shipyards are renowned, the Contest 55CS represents the pinnacle of bluewater sailing.

A previous winner of Bluewater Cruiser of the Year at the British Yachting Awards and a recipient of the European Yacht of the Year title in the Luxury Cruiser category, the 55CS offers a powerful combination of luxury, performance, and technical innovation.

"As a multi-award-winning yacht, the pedigree of the Contest 55CS speaks for itself," says Susannah Hart, Marketing Manager at Contest Yachts UK. "Designed for short-handed, high-performance cruising, it's the ideal yacht for families or couples seeking to explore the world in comfort, safety, and style."

Every element of the Contest 55CS is carefully considered to enhance the offshore experience. From its stepped aft cockpit and secure forward helm positions to the spacious, evenly sized cabins below decks, the yacht has been thoughtfully crafted for liveaboard ease and seaworthiness.

A low-profile deckhouse allows for remarkable natural light, thanks to the interior styling developed with Wetzels Brown Partners, while elevated wraparound saloon windows and long hull ports offer panoramic views and a strong connection to the sea. Custom interior configurations include two- or three-cabin layouts, with optional additions such as a workshop, study, or extra storage space - perfect for long-distance cruising.

The Contest 55CS is not only aesthetically elegant with its flush deck and sleek lines but is also technically advanced. It features seamless integration of complex systems and market-leading soundproofing, offering a remarkably quiet onboard environment, even when motoring or sailing upwind in 25 knots.

Susannah continues: "Innovation is at the heart of the 55CS. Its intuitive control systems, engineering excellence, and sophisticated build quality have earned its recognition as one of the most advanced yachts in its class. The result is a vessel that is as pleasurable to sail as it is to live onboard - it's luxury performance cruising at its best."
