Italy's Alessandro Marega maintains the top spot in the Finn World Ranking List for the third consecutive release. He remains World No. 1 with an 80-point lead over France's Laurent Hay, who moves up two places, while Peter Peet, from The Netherlands, drops one place to third.

The new release includes 22 events across 12 countries. Germany's Fabian Lemmel enters the top 20 in 19th after a string of good results, as does Switzerland's Simon Bovay who enters at 17th and Sweden's Olof Lundqvist in at 18th. However, the highest new entry is Sweden's Peter Overup who jumps up to 13th.

Other than a few minor ranking changes, the rest of the top 20 is largely unchanged. There have also been some minor adjustments this year to ranking points and weighting to fine tune the points system to better reflect a true world ranking. However, the next cycle of events has already started and with the 2025 Finn Gold Cup in Cascais, Portugal, looming over the horizon in August, closely followed by the 2026 Finn Gold Cup in Brisbane, less than five months later, some big change is likely early next year.

The latest, and ninth, release is again up on numbers and includes 1,426 sailors from 45 nations. It is based on the best five events over a two-year period taken from the World Tour for Finns, which takes in around 60 events each year across the world.

The main event in the new list was the European Championship in Naples, won by fourth ranked Valerian Lebrun, from France.

Other events in this release include:

  • Copper Cup in Oostend, Belgium, won by Tony Delava
  • Brazilian Nationals in Armacoa won by Antonio Moreira
  • Italian Nationals won by Enrico Passoni
  • USA Masters in Fairhaven won by Rodion Mazin
