The Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIAV) is delighted to formally announce the 2025 Melbourne Boat Show will be held from 16-19 October at Docklands.

This decision follows an extensive review process, which included consultation with major boat dealers/exhibitors, an online exhibitor conference, a site visit to a potential alternate venue, and a survey of major boat dealers/exhibitors. BIAV CEO Steve Walker thanked each of the 45 or so participants who, representing the broader exhibitor group, contributed to this process.

"Exhibitor engagement was crucial in this process, and in supporting the Board with the final decision for 2025", he stated. Adding, "Exhibitor satisfaction is the major KPI for our boat shows, so we really wanted a good comparison of the options, and quality input - which we received."

The comparison evaluated the currently successful Docklands venue - adopted by BIAV in 2022 - and the Caribbean Park option, which offered both indoor and lakeside exhibition options.

Whilst there were many positives to Caribbean Park, and it remains a potential future option, the weight of support for 2025 favoured Docklands. Key reasons included its ability to accommodate all exhibit types, its central location and high visibility, and its ongoing growthprofile in terms of both footprint and visitation.

Exhibitor information for the 63rd Melbourne Boat Show will be distributed in May, as we build toward another highly successful event.
