Tankoa Yachts celebrates the launch of the first Tankoa T55 Sportiva

by Tankoa Yachts 16 Apr 23:08 AEST

Tankoa Yachts is proud to announce the technical launch of M/Y Rose, the first hull of the all-new Tankoa T55 Sportiva, unveiled in June 2021 in collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture.

This milestone launch marks a significant step forward for the Genoa-based shipyard as it enters the luxury sport yacht segment with a bold and distinctive design philosophy.

Sold in January 2022, M/Y Rose was launched on Monday, April 14th, and is now entering the final phase ahead of her delivery. Blending sleek, aerodynamic lines with cutting-edge design and innovation, this 55-meter superyacht reflects the finest in modern yachting through a dynamic yet refined aesthetic. The exterior styling is penned by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, while the interiors bear the unmistakable signature of Piero Lissoni and his team at Lissoni & Partners, delivering a contemporary, bespoke atmosphere throughout.

The owner, a young entrepreneur with deep roots in the yachting world, was personally involved in every stage of the design and build process, ensuring that M/Y Rose stands as a true full-custom yacht. Noteworthy features include expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing that floods both the main and upper decks with natural light, enhancing the onboard experience.

One of the yacht's most innovative elements is the Nemo Room, a semi-submerged lounge offering an immersive connection to the sea. This unique space, together with generous exterior lounging areas and a vast beach club centered around a dramatic swimming pool, was a key point of focus for the owner. Onboard comfort is further elevated by two panoramic jacuzzis: a private one on the owner's terrace and a full-beam jacuzzi on the bow of the upper deck.

Following the technical launch, M/Y Rose will remain at the Tankoa facility for final outfitting and sea trials, before making her international debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, where she is set to turn heads as the new jewel of the seas.

With the T55 Sportiva, Tankoa once again affirms its ability to combine Italian craftsmanship, forward-thinking innovation and a bespoke approach tailored to the most discerning clientele. Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa Yachts, commented:"Thanks to the Sportiva Line, we're introducing a new take on contemporary luxury, sleeker, sportier, with flowing lines that balance elegance and performance. M/Y Rose perfectly embodies this vision, delivering both outstanding performance and timeless style. Her launch is an important moment in our evolution, and we're thrilled to showcase her to the world in Monaco."

The Sportiva Line is already expanding, with a second T55 Sportiva unit currently under construction and scheduled to launch before summer, and a third hull being built on spec and available for delivery in 2027.
