RS200 Sailing Chandlery Northern Tour at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club

by James Johnson 14 Apr 11:28 UTC 12 April 2025

Exceptional racing from Chris & Evie Pickles, from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club, saw them take the win of the Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour Open 2025. Despite the light and shifty conditions, the pair were consistently one step ahead of the fleet throughout the day, which led to a convincing overall victory.

Rounding off the rest of the podium were Martin & Barbara Smith in second, and James & Tom Johnson in third. The racing between these boats was much closer and the tactical battle between the duos provided good entertainment for those watching.

Although the weather was unpredictable, the race committee did a very good job at setting great courses and getting through all the races as planned. A massive thank you to Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club and all those involved who once again provided a fantastic Northern event.
