One Circular Quay Australian Maxi Championships 2024 | Day 1 Racing

The sun may not have been shining, but the eight yachts that were taking part in the One Circular Quay Australian Maxi Championships yesterday, lit up Sydney Harbour as they powered towards the Heads and out to sea on Day 1. The fleet headed upwind southeast-ward to a turning point some 10nm offshore, before returning under A sails to the finish line in the harbour off Neilsen Park.

Many thanks to Stu Don of High Impressions for the great drone footage. And our apologies to the Whisper team that we weren’t able to capture her from the air, as the rain had become quite persistent when she came into view!
