Archipelago Yachts announces its new partnership with e-Motion Hybrid Systems, a pioneer in eco-friendly marine propulsion technology, aiming to continuously enhance the sustainability and efficiency of the Archipelago offerings.

With both Archipelago and e-Motion sharing a commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation, the collaboration marks a milestone in the marine industry, promising a new era of sustainable yachting.

The partnership will see the integration of e-Motion's state of the art hybrid propulsion systems into Archipelago Yachts range, combining efficient, ocean-crossing vessel design with cutting-edge green technology. The hybrid systems are designed to significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions, providing yacht owners with an environmentally friendly alternative for their sailing experiences while greatly enhancing performance and comfort.

e-Motion is a renowned supplier of hybrid systems suitable for yachts measuring from 15 to 65 metres. The system is pre-assembled and ready for installation in all production yachts. It is designed for plug-and-play compatibility, ensuring that the installation time is comparable to that of a traditional engine room setup.

The hybrid systems from e-Motion utilise a combination of electric and diesel power to optimise efficiency and reduce the environmental impact sailors have when at sea. With the user-friendly interface, the captain pushes a button, and the yacht automatically switches from full diesel-propulsion to electric mode, or even to diesel-electric propulsion.

When asked about the new partnership, Dr Stephen Weatherley, Founder of Archipelago had to say: "We are excited to partner with e-Motion Hybrid Systems to offer our clients a range of yachts that not only offer exceptional performance and luxury, but also that reduce their impact on the environment. This partnership aligns perfectly with our vision of leading the yachting industry towards a more sustainable future."

Archipelago Yachts are now offering e-Motion diesel-electric hybrid propulsion over their full range of yachts from the Archipelago 40 to the Archipelago 80.

The newly announced Archipelago 80 is the largest leisure vessel in the Archipelago range. Designed in collaboration with Chartwell Marine, it's based on an award-winning hull design widely utilised in the offshore wind industry, making it a truly versatile and capable vessel. With a fuel capacity of up to 20,000 litres and a payload capacity of 16 tonnes, the 80 can be configured to transport equipment, tools, and toys at speeds of up to 30 knots.

Michele Maggi of e-Motion hybrid systems said of the partnership, "We are thrilled to be teaming up with Archipelago Yachts to help revolutionise their vessels capabilities and contribute towards a greener future. We feel that Archipelago is the perfect addition to our growing network of companies dedicated to sustainable maritime solutions."
