The Noble Marine UK Musto Skiff National Championships 2024 is now open for entry and will be hosted at Filey Sailing Club over Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June 2024.

The three-day annual regatta is a Champion Title event in the GBR class calendar, attracting Musto Skiff sailors from all over the UK. Races will take place in Filey Bay, which is known for its great sailing conditions, as well as being a stunning location.

Filey Sailing Club last hosted the class for a UK Nationals in 2006 when Musto Skiff legend Richard Stenhouse lifted the winning trophy. The current UK Champion is Bill Maughan, who won his first Musto Skiff Nationals Title last September. Bill is also the current GBR Class Chairman and has been working closely with the GBR Committee and Filey Sailing Club to organise this year's Championship.

Commenting on the up-coming regatta, Bill said: "I'm really pleased that our fleet is returning to Filey for the UK Nationals again. Filey is a beautiful spot on the east coast with a perfectly sheltered sailing bay to race in. The event is also well timed, scheduled a month before our World Championships, which is a great opportunity to get some big fleet racing done. The addition of that Yorkshire hospitality is sure to make this event a special one!"

The GBR Class Association is also pleased to confirm that Noble Marine Insurance will once again support the UK Nationals as the Event Title Sponsor. Noble Marine recently extended their long-running annual sponsorship of the GBR class with investment towards organised training sessions throughout the 2024 season, as well the UK regatta.

Prizes, including cutting-edge performance apparel and dinghy kit, will also be provided by long-term Title Class Sponsor, Musto. Awards for the regatta will be dependent on entry numbers, but it is anticipated to include an Overall Winners category, as well as other categories to provide plenty of opportunities to win accolades and prizes.

Entry fees and how to enter

The standard entry fee per boat is £153 and includes after sailing snacks, evening meals for Friday and Saturday, and free on-site parking. Late entry applies from 7th June 2024, so the class is being urged to get their entries in before this date.

For those unable to make the full event, a Weekend Entry option is available for £112 (for Saturday and Sunday). Youth entrants will also get a 50% discount on all entry fees.

Class members can enter now at the class WebCollect page here.

More event information and links to access all the event documents, including the NOR, is available via the Musto Skiff class website page.
