C Worthy - Australia's largest dealer of Bayliner and Trophy brands at The Boat Works

by The Boat Works 14 May 2024 06:34 AEST

Located in high-profile, boutique showroom premises at The Boat Works, C Worthy Marine is the largest authorized Bayliner dealer in Australia, and recently changed their business model, with a new sales focus and new management team.

At the helm is Cam Ward, Director at C Worthy, who has qualifications in marine mechanics, and Nik Robinson who has come on board as Head of Sales & Commercial Strategy.

Originally from the UK, Nik is a former pro-golfer who played on the European circuit and has a background in Sports, Tourism, and Events. In 2017, he moved his young family to Australia, specifically the Gold Coast, for a healthy, outdoor lifestyle.

Shortly after settling in, Nik bought a Bayliner VR5 from C Worthy, becoming close to Cam and the team and developing an affinity with their range of US-made boats.

"We bought a Bayliner most popular bowrider, the luxury iconic VR5 with so many features," explains Nik. "After getting to know Cam and C Worthy's operations, I approached him to work on growing the dealership and promoting the American brands they represent.

"More people need to know about the superb quality brands in Bayliner and Trophy, both from the Brunswick portfolio."

Nik continues, "They are a high-quality build and so easy to manage, especially for newcomers to boating. They're very kid-friendly, and ideal for Gold Coast waterways and coastal cruising.

"With our two boys, Luca, 10, and Ashton, 9, we are enjoying heading out on the VR5 to Jumpinpin, Millionaires Row South Stradbroke Island anchorage, and Wave Break Island. The boys are learning the ropes, and helping on board, and they love being towed behind the ski pole on the tube! We're looking forward to whale watching season which starts in May, and the glorious weather over winter which makes boating a sheer pleasure."

Designed to cut through the water with stability and safety, the Bayliner bowrider range is a line of sporty runabouts with extra forward seating. The VR Series is Bayliner's take on the traditional bowrider with a V-hull. C Worthy stocks the VR4 (19ft), VR5 (20ft) and VR6 (22ft).

The Trophy centre console range includes the T20, T22, and T24, designed as medium-sized vessels, designed for family leisure in mind, but also blue water fishing.

All new Bayliner and Trophy models are 2024 edition, available for immediate delivery. There are brokerage vessels also on show at C Worthy's state-of-the-art showroom and available for immediate sale.

What sets C Worthy apart from its competitors is its commitment to customer service. "We provide more than just selling you a boat," states Nik.

"Through our authorized Mercury Marine Support Centre, we provide boat servicing, and we also can customize vessels with a variety of tailor-made accessories.

"We provide all owners with a Queensland inshore safety kit and training. We're planning to organize owner events at our showroom and on-water, to build skills and share our enjoyment of the boating lifestyle."

At this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 23 to 26 May 2024, C Worthy will have a prominent section within the Trailer Boat precinct in the Marine Village, with Bayliner and Trophy models on display.

"Our showroom at The Boat Works is open all year round, adjacent to the Marine Trade Supplies Superstore and surrounded by the marine trade professionals on-site," says Nik.

"Not only is our showroom air-conditioned, with plenty of parking and beautiful landscaped premises, but customers can also enjoy the choice of three restaurants for a coffee and snack or a long lunch and the fascinating Garage 25 Car Museum. It's a great day out for families!"
