Selden 2020 - LEADERBOARD

Supernova class association 2024 - Update

by Chris Hawley 18 Feb 05:42 PST

Next weekend is the RYA dinghy show, the traditional start to the sailing season. The team at Hartley Boats will have a shiny new Supernova on their stand, sporting its new sail. Please pop over, take a look at the boat and say hi to Mark Hartley and the team.

The new sails are being shipped out to members with around 40 or so now in circulation - not bad for a few weeks' work - just about another 200 orders to work through!

Winter Championships

The sailing element of the season kicks off with the Winter Championships at Bowmoor Sailing Club on Saturday 2 March. Everything you need to know can be found on the Class Association website: www.supernovadinghy.org/event/bowmoor-sc-supernova-winter-championship-and-southern-traveller

This will be the first event to use the new 5 fleet system (dropping legacy age categories) - an exciting move for the class to increase enjoyment and spread rewards through the fleet.

National Championships

The big event of the year takes place at Plas Heli on 28. 29 and 30 June. Entries are already through the 70 mark and well on track to nose through the magic 100.

The Supernova Nationals is known as being one of the most friendly and supportive events there is. Lots of encouragement and fun to be had through the fleet. It's a great venue at a great price, a perfect opportunity to have a go at sea sailing.

There's also a crazy half price early bird offer meaning just £65 for 3 days high end sailing, a social and even a t-shirt! Wowzer. The offer runs out on 2 March so no time to delay, get booked in now: www.supernovadinghy.org/nationals-2024

We look forward to seeing you on the water in 2024.
