Three races were completed today in both ILCA 7 and ILCA 6 fleets at the 2023 Allianz Sailing World Championships, in about 10-13 knots of wind with gusts up to 15 knots.

Two races were completed in the gold fleets, one in silver fleets, bringing both gold fleets to a total of six qualifying races. Four races were planned today for the ILCA 6 fleets to make up for the lack of racing yesterday, but after several general recalls, only three were completed.

On the ILCA 6 course, Hungarian Mária Érdi continues to lead after discarding a 17th finish and landing in fourth for today. The battle for second and third place overall continues, as 2020 Olympian and two-time world champion Emma Plasschaert of Belgium rose to second after locking in a second- and third-place finish. Australian Casey Imeneo moved up to third place after finishing with a third- and first-place finish in the final race today. Another notable performance today came from Swiss Maud Jayet, who finished first and second today, which pushed her up to seventh overall.

On the ILCA 7 course, Great Britain's Michael Beckett remains atop the leaderboard, adding a second-place finish after discarding a black flag in the first race. 2020 Olympic gold medalist Matt Wearn from Australia had an outstanding day. Wearn has moved up to second place, after a tough couple of days, before winning the first race today and finishing third in the second. Cypriot Pavlos Kontides is in third place, now tied with 31 points with German Philipp Buhl. New Zealand's George Gautrey notably finished first in the final race today, moving him up to fifth place overall.

Tomorrow the final ILCA series continues, with two races scheduled for the gold fleets and three for the silver fleets.
