The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is pleased to announce, that after the success of a recent group energy procurement tender, Choice Energy has invested in sponsorship of the Association.

Choice Energy is an Australian energy consultancy specialising in energy procurement and quality commercial solar solutions for businesses. As an award-winning, energy solutions business, they have helped more than 8,000 Australian businesses and consumers reduce their energy costs.

MIA President, Andrew Chapman commented, "We are absolutely delighted to have Choice Energy on board as an industry sponsor and thank them for their additional support and commitment to our industry."

The MIA and Choice Energy recently conducted a group electricity tender that resulted in significant savings and outcomes for members. The MIA members who participated in the tender benefited from combined annual energy savings of over $250,000.

Commenting on Choice Energy's commitment, Suzanne Davies, MIA CEO said, "Partnerships that help our members to control their business costs are valued. As business energy costs continue to rise, the deeper involvement of Choice Energy with the industry will assist members in procuring cheaper energy options."

In relation to the industry move towards decarbonisation, Davies added "The commercial solar solutions offered by Choice Energy will play an important role for members as they move to reducing their carbon footprint."

Rebecca Xuereb, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Choice Energy said "Choice Energy is proud to come on board as a sponsor of the Marina Industries Association, the peak representative body for marinas".

Commenting on the energy market, Xuereb said, "Businesses already face extensive amounts of pressure and with further energy price increases anticipated over the coming months, there has never been a more important time for business operators to engage an expert to build confidence in their energy strategy and keep overheads as low as possible. We look forward to supporting members to lower their energy costs and environmental footprint through our quality energy solutions".

Davies commented that becoming an industry sponsor is "a great way for suppliers to remain 'top of mind' and to ensure exposure in our growing industry". In a recent MIA Member survey, it was reported that nearly 64 per cent of members would actively consider MIA sponsors when making purchasing and acquisition decisions. "The MIA looks forward to this strong and mutually beneficial partnership with Choice Energy" Davies said.
