Arguably one of the most thrilling, exhilarating leisure activities in the country, with Australia serving up some of the most diverse waterways in the world, offshore fishing is not only a widely sought-after sport but an intrinsic lifestyle.

Coming up against the deep blue, the most vital foundation to safely taking on the open ocean is having a strong, reliable Plate boat afoot.

With 39-years of boating expertise under its belt, Yellowfin Plate boats stand out as one of the most sought-after heavy-duty, offshore fishing vessels in the industry renowned for its quality of build and investment in innovation to continue evolving the on-water experience.

"Yellowfin is a household name in the Plate Boat industry, dating back to 1984. Since our inception, we have continued to raise the bar with offshore boating, investing in a dedicated Research and Development team to identify opportunities to further advance the industry and improve the overall customer experience," Drew Jackson, Commercial Manager said.

"From a dedicated, expert team of boat builders to our unparalleled dealer network, it is this expertise that has led to a fundamental build, incorporating what we deem as essential components, which allows customers to then build on to personalise their craft with optional extras. It is this commitment to excellence that sets Yellowfin apart from the rest."

Yellowfin Plate Boats are based around a Marine Core Construction, incorporating a reinforced sub-floor framework to deliver maximum strength. Using extrusions specifically designed for marine products, the chine and the keel are not simply welded but re-enforced by a total of 4 welds performed by an expert technician.

The internal milk crate structure of longitudinal and latitudinal ribs is encased by the Offshore HD Hull, built with up to 6mm bottom sides of the highest grade 5083 aluminium Plate sheets, and designed with a sharp entry point and 19-degree variable deadrise to deliver the renowned soft and reliable ride.

The strength within Yellowfin Plate Boats is carried throughout the entire build, with a self-draining checker plate floor affixed afoot, with specialised technology designed to expel excess water to a lower chamber and out of the vessel. Separate to the underfloor bilge pump, the Auto Drain Deck offers you another layer of safety.

All Yellowfin Plate Boats come standard with scuppers and a wide range of standard features to offer a ready-to-go base vessel.

"Yellowfin is designed using the latest technology to deliver an impeccable ride, and informed by customer feedback to not only meet our boaters needs but exceed them," Drew said.

Offering seven design variations of Plate Boat, from open console models, to fully-enclosed cabin models, Yellowfin has invested in developing a line-up to suit every offshore boater.

Over 150-hours goes into hand-building each model, performed by a specially selected team of the industry's top fabricators and boat builders.

Yellowfin serves the entire country through a specialty network of Australia's top dealers, scattered throughout the nation. Through select dealers, Yellowfin Plate boats are available as fully configured motor and trailer packages direct through the Gold Coast based factory.
