The Fountaine Pajot Group is strengthening its presence in the United States with the acquisition of a majority stake in Atlantic Cruising Yachts (ACY), one of its top distributors for the past three decades.

This move is part of the Fountaine Pajot Group's plan to expand its brands through a larger territorial network and a wider range of services in the American market.

Atlantic Cruising Yachts and the Fountaine Pajot Group partnership

Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Atlantic Cruising Yachts is one of the largest sailing yacht dealerships in North America, with offices in St. Petersburg and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kemah, Texas. ACY founder and President, Chris Bent shares his pride regarding their long-term goals.

"We recognized early on that service and support were falling short of customer expectations throughout much of the industry," Bent said. "Atlantic Cruising Yachts has been focused on addressing those needs, and we're proud of the organization we have built to support the purchase, commissioning, delivery, and after-sales processes. We have invested heavily in making the entire boat-buying experience an enjoyable one while serving our customer needs for the long term."

The new partnership is expected to create rapid expansion throughout the American market over the coming years, with new dealerships opening to serve additional regions. Fountaine Pajot's investment in Atlantic Cruising Yachts is a testament to the company's commitment to providing exceptional customer service, project management, and technical support resources to its clients.

Looking toward the future

Romain Motteau, Deputy Managing Director of Fountaine Pajot, said, "We are happy to be able to join forces with Atlantic Cruising Yachts in order to support its development on its domestic market, and are delighted with this commercial partnership which should enable us to consolidate our sales."

The Fountaine Pajot Group and Atlantic Cruising Yachts look forward to bringing their combined expertise and resources for a successful expansion of both brands.
