The Italian Sea Group presents the new Perini Navi fleet

by The Italian Sea Group 16 Mar 2023 03:53 PDT

The Italian Sea Group, global operator in luxury yachting, today unveiled the new and innovative Perini Navi fleet, one year after the Brand acquisition.

It includes three sailing yacht models in the sizes of: 48, 56, and 77 meters. The fleet, named "Genesis," confirms TISG's ultra-high-level positioning as a global player in the large sailing yacht market.

The Project

The project stems from the ambition to create a line of sailing yachts with the characteristic and iconic elements of Perini Navi interpreted in a modern and exclusive way: large spaces, brightness, easy-sailing, and comfort.

The external lines of the "Genesis" fleet reflect two essential assumptions: the desire to reinterpret in a contemporary way the signature features of the "Perini Navi Style", renowned throughout the world for their elegance and beauty, and at the same time the intention to express a timeless and contemporary design projected into the future.

Clean lines blend harmoniously with elongated, continuous curvilinear shapes; glass surfaces expand to diffuse natural, welcoming light into the interior. The stern opens up to the sea, becoming a true leisure area with the exterior decks defined by an organic, supple layout.

By analogy, the main interior spaces also tend to be large and fluid; the multiple uses dialogue with each other in a direct but discreet way, maintaining the necessary functionality together with an open and dynamic spatiality.

A blue leather handrail, like a fil bleu, defines and becomes a new leitmotif of the future Perini Navi world.

"I am very proud of the new Perini Navi fleet and the progress made so far over the past year," - commented Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group. - "By transferring the comfort of motor yachts to sailing yachts, we have succeeded in creating a harmonious synergy between two worlds thanks to our already strong expertise, which has been strengthened and expanded through the Perini Navi acquisition. The market is showing particular sensitivity to our sailing yachts, and our established reputation for design, quality and innovation will help strengthen the Group's expansion and growth strategy."

The "Genesis" Fleet

The new 48-meter will be offered in two versions: regatta and cruise.

The new generation hull lines will allow even more comfortable sailing while the open stern, equipped with a transformer, will facilitate access to the sea offering great comfort particularly at anchorage.

The sail system handling system will continue to be concentrated in the two command consoles, with a series of joysticks that facilitate single-man control without the need for dedicated crew. The superstructure, which has been re-styled, will keep Perini Navi's distinctive stylistic cues: side epaulette, a double round glass stripe providing great light and an enclosed aft cockpit to offer more privacy.

The new 48-meter sailing yacht will have new hull lines to offer limited heeling angles while sailing, double rudders and swing centreboard to minimize draft and facilitate access to remote ports and bays.

In the interest of sustainability, it will also be possible to install solar panels.

The 56-meter, Perini Navi's most iconic sailing yacht, will be redesigned through the collaboration with Malcom McKeon Yacht Design, which, with a strong orientation to sailing performance, will develop the naval platform and sail plan, as well as contribute to the styling of the exterior.

The new sail plan, full in carbon, will ensure comfort and sailing performance through the use of Perini Navi's "sail handling system".

The 77-meter will be the first platform on which to install the legendary FALCON RIG.

The sailing yacht will have two masts that will give great advantages in terms of navigation and safety. With the electro-hydraulic mast-sail management system, sailing will be extremely easy. The new sailing yacht will be the first platform to have a full-size spa-beach club with folding terraces that are connected with the aft beach.

Under Construction

Regarding other Perini Navi-branded projects, four sailing yachts are currently under construction:

  • Art Explora, the largest aluminium sailing catamaran in the world (47 meters in length by 17 meters in beam), completely designed (both the naval architecture and the interior) by designer Axel De Beaufort, scheduled for delivery in August 2023.
  • A 60-meter sailing ketch, naval architecture by Ron Holland and interior by French designer Rémi Tessier, scheduled for delivery in August 2024.
  • A 56-meter sailing ketch signed by Malcom McKeon and interior design by Winch Design, scheduled for delivery in July 2025.
  • A 47-meter sloop, with Central Agency assigned to U.S. broker Bruce Brakenhoff from Edmiston, with delivery in July 2025.
