Intellian Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of multi-constellation, feature-rich, future-proof satellite user terminals and communications solutions, has today announced the opening of their new Advanced Development Center (ADC) in Maryland, USA. Situated in the heart of what's known as 'Satellite Valley', with many key satellite network partners close by, the ADC is the main design and engineering hub for Intellian's flat panel antenna and terminal technologies. With ever-increasing interest from enterprise, government and maritime customers for phased array antennas, the development of this product portfolio is a key growth and expansion for Intellian.

ADC is a research and development center, hosting a number of top industry talent ranging from RF engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and validation engineering for product development of phased array antennas and user terminals, growing to a team of 70+ by Q4 2023. The continuation expansion of the team also puts a stake in the ground in terms of guaranteeing the scalability of the ADC, ensuring there is the talent pool to deliver against the plans.

The ADC has state-of-the-art facilities to support the design of exceptional antennas and terminals, such as a near field scanner chamber, compact antenna test range, electrical lab, mechanical lab, and environmental test lab. The new center also has several integration labs to host the validation and type approval test campaigns with various partners' products, keeping them separate to maintain customer confidentiality.

A key differentiator, Intellian is a vertically integrated product company with the flat panel engineering team designing the technology in ADC, with fully automated in-house manufacturing taking place at Intellian's Campus 2, in Korea. With facilities built for the mass production of flat panel user terminals for fixed enterprise, land mobility, maritime, government and defense customers, the teams seamlessly work on the entire product concept and development, through to delivery and after-sales care.

Hai Tang, Senior VP of the ADC said: "The opening of this new center represents a crucial step in our development and productization strategy. Our newly formed team is enthusiastically primed to take Intellian to the next level in flat panel technology with seamless integration of RF/IF/DIF and modem technologies as the next big fusion in the satcom industry to further drive down size, weight, power, and cost of our solutions. We have demonstrated our flat panel product maturity by operating continuously over the OneWeb constellation as part of our long-term test validation campaign. We are highly confident that the new ADC in Maryland will allow us to remain at the forefront of technological innovation in the industry. The scalability and expansion opportunities at the site will allow Intellian to drive change, continue to advance, and work as an industry leader to provide consistent, reliable, and accessible communications for all."
