Successful anglers understand that to catch fish; the bait must be delivered where the fish are. While this may seem like a simple and obvious truth, it comes as an afterthought for far too many anglers.

In the pursuit of pelagic predatory fish, fishing where the fish are is much more involved than simply dropping down a bait or casting into a "fishy" spot. Trusting electronics and finding the right spot is the key to productive angling. Details such as identifying depth in the water column, targeting the speed of the bait presentation, and understanding the current or tide help effective anglers put fish in the boat or on the beach.

Using kites to put baits in front of the fish

Once the critical details of where the fish are and what they are doing come to light, the question of putting baits to work must be answered. Kite fishing allows anglers to fly lures directly to the fish, present more baits from the boat, and hook up with more fish!

Kite fishing is a fantastic technique that's been around for decades but is not as mainstream as many other types of fishing. As the name implies, kite fishing utilizes a kite flown in the wind to drop baits where the fish are.

The folks at Tigress are passionate about kite fishing, and passion drives innovation. The love of the pursuit on the water at Tigress has produced a line of kites and accessories for kite fishing that will equip veteran kite fishing anglers or those just starting alike.
