Karpaz Gate Marina, the first international standard marina resort in North Cyprus, has announced a unique opportunity for people to achieve powerboat skipper qualifications while staying at its on-site boutique hotel.

With places for September available now, the new package includes a two-day RYA Powerboat Level 2 course at the marina's RYA Training Centre, plus two nights' stay including breakfast at the spectacular nautical-themed hotel.

The RYA training is open to anyone over the age of 12 and offers all you need to know for self-sufficient powerboating at a basic level. The course includes launching, mooring, anchoring and recovery, plus other boat driving skills. No other pre-course experience or knowledge is required.

The powerboat course and hotel package provides a chance for people to gain the confidence and skills to handle a boat safely, while enjoying the stunning coastline and crystal clear waters of North Cyprus. Participants have the option to convert the certification to a commercially endorsed licence if required.

New for 2022, it is also possible to charter a powerboat at Karpaz Gate Marina to explore the coves and islands in the area. The skippered day charters are available on a four-cabin 16m/52ft Azimut motoryacht for up to 10 people or a 7m/22ft Yamaha motorboat for a maximum of four people. Food and drinks can be supplied and priced on request.

Award-winning, 5 Gold Anchor-standard Karpaz Gate Marina is located in an idyllic bay on the Karpaz peninsula, offering immaculate berthing and technical facilities for international sailors. The 52-room hotel is designed to assimilate perfectly with the marina setting, featuring a distinct nautical theme, complete with touches such as teak deck floors, white wood washed ceilings and sailing visuals. Further leisure amenities include hamam and spa, Beach Club with infinity pool, fitness centre and Hemingway's Resto-Bar.

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course with 2 nights' stay at Karpaz Gate Marina Hotel are available for single occupancy during September, every Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Sunday, for just €550 for weekdays and €600 for weekends.

Prices for powerboat day charters start at €250 for the day on 7m motorboat Irem. The cost is €900 for a half day or €1,400 for a full day on 16m yacht My Way.

For more information and to reserve your place on one of the scheduled courses available at Karpaz Gate Marina's RYA Training Centre, please email or call the marina office on +90 0533 833 7878. For information on chartering a boat, email or call the office.
