HD Sails Spinnaker Auction returns to support Merlin Rocket Aspire Nationals 2022

Bag yourself a brand-new crispy HD Sails Merlin Rocket spinnaker in the colour of your choice in time for the National and help support the event in the process!

We are delighted that once again HD Sails is donating a spinnaker to the Merlin Rocket Class to auction off and raise additional funds to support our 2022 National Champions at Mounts Bay from 31st July to 4th August.

RRP on the spinnaker including measurement is £525.47.

Entering is simple. Email your bid to between the 6th and 17th June to be in with a chance of enjoying that new sail feeling at the Nationals this year.

  • Auction Opening Date - Monday 6th June 2022 @ 00:01hrs
  • Bids to be emailed to
  • Closing Date for bids - Friday 17th June 2022 @ 23:59hrs
  • Announcement of winning bid - Monday 20th June 2022
  • Payment to MROA by - 1 July 2022 (in event of non-payment, next highest bidder will be contacted and offered the spinnaker).
  • Presentation of sail - Opening day of the Merlin Rocket Aspire National Championships 2022

Felucca Trophy at Hollingworth Lake
Penultimate event of the Merlin Rocket Craftinsure Silver Tiller Series Sixteen Merlin Rockets turned up for the Craftinsure Silver Tiller open meeting and Felucca trophy at Hollingworth Lake Sailing Club on the weekend of 22nd / 23rd October. A good turnout for the Craftinsure De May Series & Thames Series event The Merlin Rockets were at Upper Thames Sailing Club for the weekend of 10 and 11 September, with the De May Vintage event taking place on the Saturday, and the Thames Series racing on Sunday.
