This week, at the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, the Tre Golfi Sailing Week was presented to the authorities and the press.

Once again sponsored by Rolex, the event is organized by the Circolo Remo e Vela Italia, with Yacht Club Italiano, Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia, IMA, ORC, UVAI, AIVE, and under the patronage of FIV.

Together with the Rolex Giraglia and the Rolex Middle Sea Race, it is one of the most popular and crowded offshore races on the competitive Mediterranean calendar, attracting the elite of international sailing.

Despite the concern for a pandemic not yet completely overcome, the Organizers foresaw 150 participants, too much for the Capri Marina capacity, and had to swap on the enchanting Sorrento peninsula.

"Thank you for the trust - commented the Mayor of Sorrento Massimo Coppola - we are honored to welcome the Tre Golfi Sailing Week. Together with the other Mayors of Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello e Vico Equense we'll work as a team to offer the best welcome to the racers. We are unique from many points of view and happy to welcome this challenging event".

Registrations opened on November the 1st. The number of entries after one month only underlines how much relevance and prestige the event has and how interesting and stimulating the novelty of the Sorrento peninsula is.

"We will have the first Maxi European Championship ever - Maurizio Pavesi, Vice-President of the Circolo Remo e Vela Italia explains - and after many years, the return of the ORC Mediterranean Championship. Both the regattas include the Tre Golfi long-distance race, and we look forward to enjoying with all the crews its fascinating sunset start"!
