Shimano School returns on Tuesday, August 31, with another informative and entertaining event. JP DeRose hosts these live-streaming video seminars, featuring compelling topics and special guests from across the spectrum of the fishing world.

Shimano School meets every two weeks and streams live on the Shimano Facebook Page and the Shimano North America's YouTube Channel.

Captain Paul Powis headlines this edition of Shimano School to discuss Great Lakes walleye and steelhead fishing. Captain Powis owns and operates J&P Fishing Charters, based in Kitchener, Ontario, on the northern shores of Lake Erie. With over 30 years of experience as a charter captain on the Great Lakes, Captain Powis prides himself in providing his guests with the best chance of catching the fish of a lifetime.

"I'm blessed to lead charters on one of the best - if not the best - walleye and steelhead fisheries on the planet," reflects Captain Powis. "We work with guests from across the spectrum of fishing experience, from complete novices to well-seasoned pros. My guests can count on patient instruction for the beginner and advanced knowledge for the expert - and, of course, some tremendous fishing as we follow migratory Lake Erie walleye and steelhead as they make their way around the lake. I look forward to sharing over three decades of Great Lakes fishing insights and productive patterns for trophy fish during this exciting edition of Shimano School."

We invite viewers to post questions to the Facebook and YouTube live streams, while Captain Powis and DeRose provide the answers needed to help viewers understand and appreciate all that Lake Erie has to offer. Shimano School is in session starting at 8 PM EST on Tuesday, August 31.
