Flexiteek announces a new EU patent for market-leading Flexiteek 2G synthetic teak

Flexiteek is pleased to announce the grant of EU patent EP3071473A1, covering the material composition and 2G technology used for its market-leading Flexiteek 2G synthetic teak.

The new EU patent joins existing patents for material composition in both the USA (US9676925B2) and Sweden (SE538714C2).

Flexiteeks innovative 2G synthetic teak material:

  • cools 30% faster than traditional composite decking,
  • is 35% weight saving compared to rival composite decking systems,
  • is fully recyclable,
  • and is made using a REACH compliant phthalate-free plasticiser.
