Although the leaves are turning and the weather is getting colder, preparations at Manuka SEM are heating up as the 2020 Atlantic Cup, is shaping up to be the biggest one yet!

The USA's toughest offshore race is estimated to have between 20 and 25 teams on the start line in Charleston next June, which will make the race the largest gathering of Class40s in the U.S. in history!

In addition, we're delighted to announce that Fore Points Marina, a brand new start of the art marina in Portland, Maine will be the host venue for the 2020 Portland stopover!

The Infinity Project - First Light takes the 2020 Atlantic Cup entry list to five!

Founded in 2018, The Infinity Project was created with the overall goal of promoting the development of youth offshore sailing in the US. With the support of Ralfi Steitz and the USMMA Sailing Foundation, Class40 No. 37, 'First Light', was provided to the team as the development platform.

The Atlantic Cup is the longest offshore race in the Western Atlantic with over 1,000nm of ocean racing, and also the U.S.' only short-handed offshore race dedicated to the Class40. The Atlantic Cup was created in 2011 to showcase short-handed, offshore racing with hard fought competition and exciting shore based events, while also being the most environmentally sustainable sailing race in the United States. The Atlantic Cup has been carbon neutral since 2012 and was the first sports event in the U.S. to be ISO 20121 compliant.

All teams have now finished what many teams called a brutal Leg 2 Finishing in fourth place was the Angolan/Brazilian team, Angola Cables followed shortly behind by Portland, Maine based Amhas.
