Industry experts will explain the ins and outs of charter boat ownership programs for both Sydney Harbour and the Whitsundays at a live seminar at 2pm on Saturday the 27th of April at the Pittwater Sail Expo.

Presented by Brent Vaughan of Multihull Central, Sharon McNally of Cumberland Yacht Charters and John Eldick of Sumplus mortgage brokers, the seminar aims to both unpack the key considerations for charter boat ownership programs from survey requirements, expected financial returns and how to best approach financing a boat.

Brent Vaughan, author of the book 'Seabbaticals", has spent 20 years placing new charter boats for customers into fleets around Australia and currently has a charter boat operating on Sydney harbour. Brent will be explaining the importance having your boat survey approved before operating along with providing financial details of the Sydney Harbour charter market.

Sharon McNally is the General Manager of Cumberland Charter Yachts, one of the most prominent charter fleet operators in the Whitsundays with a large fleet of boats and seeking new boat investors. Sharon will explain how charter boats operate in the Whitsundays and why owners continue to invest with financial details also provided.

John Eldick of Sumplus mortgage brokers has assisted several boat owners in the last 12 months navigate a difficult financial market but has successfully helped secure competitive finance for new charter boat buyers.

Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions or arrange more detailed discussions following the presentation.

The free seminar will be hosted at 2pm on Saturday 27th April, upstairs in the Royal Prince Alfred yacht club, 16 Mitala Street, Newport.

Seawind 1260 'Best Catamaran Under 50ft

The award winning Seawind 1260 will be displayed at the upcoming Pittwater Sail Expo on the 27th & 28th April as hosted by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Newport.

In December last year, the highly read and respected 'Cruising World Magazine' of the USA named the Australian designed Seawind 1260 as the 'Best Cruising Catamaran Under 50 feet' up against the largest boat builders in the world.

With 35 years of heritage designing and building production cruising catamarans, Seawind boats key performance features such as twin helms for short handed sailing, lower aspect boom for less pitching, monocoque structure for stiffness and at only 8 tonne lightship displacement the design is up to 30% lighter than its competitors.

Combined with the innovative trifold door system that Seawind is famous for providing indoor outdoor living with a new alfresco lounge and galley, large opening windows and hatches for natural ventilation and complete shade and weather protection, the Seawind 1260 offers comfort and luxury.

An attractive boat show special will be offered for a single production slot with delivery for mid 2019 including a factory cash discount plus a free Takacat dinghy and free Rainmain Watermaker with combined value of $40,000. Conditions apply.
