Few live to tell of the terror and the battle when pirates attack their yacht. Seven years on the high seas... what could go wrong?

To find out, come to the Calgary Chapter's first club night of the "new year" and be captivated by Captain Skip Rowland as he tells of an ordinary man and his courageous mate making the most of a life changing, highly rewarding – sometimes challenging voyage.

Skip is a bluewater sailor, successful author and now a BCA member. He sailed with his father, an inland lake scow champion, before he could walk. As a teen, he crewed aboard the famous ocean racer, Ondine, and later worked as a sailing instructor. A successful businessman and radio personality, Rowland has logged over thirty thousand nautical miles in his five offshore yachts.

BCA Free Resource Library – Open during club night

Bring in and pass on your sailing and cruising book to other members... and take-home a "gem" or two that inspire you!
