Ullswater Yacht Club invites all cruiser and keelboat sailors to take part in a weekend of racing especially for them.

The club has issued a special invitation to all sailors of cruisers moored on the lake to join in the new event - Cruiser & Keelboat Weekend - and organisers are pleased to welcome Traditional Day Boats from Glenridding Sailing Centre at the Southern end of Ullswater who will be taking part in a UYC cruiser event as a class for the first time.

The Weekend includes the Tempest Northern Championships and is a Flying Fifteen Lakeland Grand Prix event. There will be separate courses for Racing Keelboats and Cruisers Full Sails (five races over two days), Cruisers White Sails (three races over two days) and Traditional Day Boats (two races over two days).

Registration will be in the UYC clubhouse on Saturday from 10-11.30am and for Traditional Day Boats at the Glenridding Sailing Centre. A briefing will be held at UYC on Saturday at 11.45am and Glenridding Sailing Centre at 12.15am. The warning signal for Saturday will not be before 12.30pm and on Sunday not before 10.30am.

Details are on the UYC website at www.ullswateryachtclub.org or contact UYC Cruiser Class Captain, Brian Moreton, email
