With 50 competitors from 10 countries, this year's D-One Gold Cup promises to be a fantastic event. Sailed from the Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee, based in the beautiful Austrian town of St Gilgen, the event will run over five days from the 30th May.

Nick Craig will be looking to regain the Gold Cup which he last won in 2015 and add to his three previous wins and multiple championships in other classes. Viktor Teply returns to the class for this event and will no doubt bring a high level of competition following his Olympic debut in Rio in the Laser class.

As at all D-One events there is bound to be tight racing throughout the fleet and plenty of socialising on the shore as friends from all the fleets catch up over a beer or two. Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee have been busy organising the event and have laid on a superb social programme for competitors and their friends and family. With 50 D Ones on the start line this is certainly going to be a championship not to be missed!
