Australian 12 Foot Skiff Championship at Brisbane 18 Footers Sailing Club

Richard Billet and Ben Cross sailing Carbon Chandlery, from QLD have won the 2018 Australian 12 Foot Skiff Championship held over Easter on Moreton Bay, QLD.

Champagne sailing conditions greeted the fleet over the weekend with winds in he South to East ranging from 10 to 20 knots allowing number one, two and three rigs to all come out.

Carbon Chandlery sailed brilliantly to win five of the six heats, but held off a determined effort from Geotherm, Brett Hobson and Jeremy Jones, from NSW. The racing was close throughout with tight finishes the order of the day. Handicap results were also close with Shusticks,sailed by class newcomers Warren Miller and Jimmy Beck tacking the trophy.
