Recessed tie downs enhance any boat's functionality

by Martin Flory Group 21 Mar 2018 23:07 PDT

Stowing equipment on boat decks or swim platforms can prove challenging on many vessels, with limited places to secure supporting lines or cargo nets. Stainless steel Tie Downs from Accon Marine provide a neat, attractive solution for keeping items like scuba gear, fenders and water toys readily accessible, yet safely secured.

Precision cast from stainless steel, this durable, recessed hardware neatly integrates with the décor of any boat. Measuring 88.9mm L x 88.9mm W x 31.75mm D, the model 195 Large Tie Down is ideal for use both on-board and on the dock. Its full 25.4mm cup and sturdy 12.7mm crossbar accommodate a range of line or clip sizes. Installation is a simple matter of drilling a 63.5mm hole and mounting with four 1/4" stainless steel screws.

For lighter jobs, or use on smaller boats and personal watercraft, the model 196 Small Tie Down provides identical utility and ease of installation in a more compact 50.8mm L x 50.8mm W x 25.4mm D size. It mounts in a 38.1mm hole with four #8 stainless screws. Both versions are supplied with a sealing cup to provide a watertight fit.
