BRP staff are saddened that long-standing Team Evinrude icon and extended family member, Guido Hibdon, passed away on March 10th, 2018. A native of Gravois Mills, Missouri, he is survived by his beloved wife Stella, son Dion, grandsons Payden, Lawson and Conner, and several other loving family members. Hibdon was in his 72nd year.

Referred to by many as "a legend in the bass fishing world", Hibdon's career highlights include: 1987 Bassmaster Classic Champion, 1996 Bassmaster Classic Champion, 2005 Forrest Wood Cup Champion, five B.A.S.S titles, and 1990 and 1991 Bassmaster Angler of the Year. He was also inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame in 2002. The year after Hibdon won the Bassmaster Classic for the second time, in 1997, his son Dion won the championship. This made them the only father/son duo to earn such an accomplishment. Dedicating 35 years of his professional life to the fishing industry, he was a member of Team Evinrude since the onset of his career.

"Our deepest condolences are extended to Guido's family and friends," said Krista Sparkes, vice president of sales – Evinrude, North America. "A true mentor to all of us involved in the fishing community and a highly respected Evinrude ambassador, Guido will be greatly missed."

Arrangements will be organized through Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles, Missouri. The family has created a Life Tributes page to make it easy to share memories and view service details: www.kidwellgarber.com/obituaries/Guido-Hibdon/#!/Obituary
