VMG Yachtbuilders in the Netherlands and Morozov Yachts in Spain have formed a partnership to jointly build a range of modern and neo-classical performance sailing yachts.

VMG operates from an ultra-modern facility in the ancient Dutch city of Enkhuizen, where it produces custom and semi-custom yachts from 42ft-82ft under the Puffin and Agile brands. The company also has a yacht service location in the centre of Enkhuizen.

Morozov Yachts used to build custom aluminium and composite sailing yachts at their own boatyard in St Petersburg, Russia. In 2005, the company began contracting the work to several boatyards in the Netherlands and later in Poland. Alexander Morozov, principal of Morozov Yachts, and Tim van Daal, director of VMG Yachtbuilders BV, have agreed to make a synergy partnership to promote all models of semi-custom yachts to new markets.

VMG Yachtbuilders will be the exclusive builder of concept designs by Morozov Yachts, like the modern performance pilothouse cruiser Soler 38ft-55ft and neo-classic pilothouse yachts M-series from 40ft-60ft. The yachts will be built in aluminum and/or composite materials. Olivier van Meer Design will be involved in this collaboration as naval architect.

Morozov Yachts will act as sales agent for Russian clients for new carbon racer/high-performance cruisers of the Agile brand from 42ft-82ft, which are designed by Simonis Voogd Design.

The first full carbon Agile 42 has just been launched by VMG Yachtbuilders with great success.
